Here we go again

After living half of my life in deprivation, I managed to escape to a world where I learned that I’m so full of privileges that it’s a miracle I need to exert any modicum of effort. I’m still taxed to oblivion, denied good jobs, but my white, male privilege should kick in any time now, and life will be get easier, right? Right?

I no longer recognize this world. It seems there’s no place for people like me anymore.

We’ve pathologized kindness and, in the name of inclusivity, we’ve opened the floodgates to a swarm of psychopaths who will do whatever it takes to seize and retain power for themselves.

And you know what’s worse? I have already lived in this kind of world, in the so-called workers’ paradise of an Eastern European communist dictatorship. I recognize the modus operandi, the invasive propaganda, the censorship, and the inevitable self-censorship that comes with the territory.
After everything we’ve been through in the last century, some irresponsible elites thought that maybe Marxism isn’t a bad idea after all, if it’s implemented correctly. It’s for a good cause, right?

So, I’ve chosen to distance myself from the crowd, from city life. I’ve bought a cottage in the forest where I can live in peace, breathe fresh air, and indulge in my hobbies: target practice, writing, and motorcycle riding.

While I still commute to work in the big city and remain connected to cultural shifts, I’ve lost much of my drive to fix things. However, I won’t remain silent about what I see. You’ll hear plenty from me.
